Immune Profiling

A Person’s adaptive immune system accumulates signatures of their experience such as past vaccinations or infections, and even current illnesses. By applying high-throughput sequencing to acquire the receptor transcripts from B cells and T cells, we can access this personal archive and discover both diagnostic and therapeutic markers for specific diseases such as infections or autoimmune diseases. By applying this methodology, we discovered stereotypic antibodies that can neutralize SARS-CoV2 and showed that they were shared by the majority of COVID-19 patients. Proving that neutralizing antibodies against the virus could emerge from naïve B cells in the majority of the population. We believe that such methodology could be expanded beyond isolated medical conditions and create a general yet detailed report on an individual’s health status.
